The procedure begins with a 15-minute temperature acclimation period. During this time you will be disrobed from the waist up while in a special temperature controlled imaging suite. Once acclimated to the temperature of the room, you will be asked to stand or sit in front of an infrared camera while multiple images are taken from different angles.
For breast imaging, the last 5 minutes before images get taken, client is asked to hold arms up in order to lift and cool the underside of breasts as much as possible prior to imaging. Arms may be rested upon the head, hands clasped if you like or not clasped, either way is fine. If you cannot hold arms up, let us know in advance your limitation and we may be able to make modifications to assist you. Bringing 2 friends who can assist in holding your arms up could work.
Something like the woman above except you will be disrobed from waist up and you will be sitting, not standing, although you may stand if you prefer.
Exactly the same except no holding of arms up…. 15 minutes of cooling, then a loose lightweight cotton gown is provided during the imaging to cover the areas not being imaged, i.e., we uncover each area just prior to imaging it and a disposable thong is provided for lower body imaging. You may wear your own as long as it does not cover sacrum area at the base of your spine. Wearing nothing on genitals is not an option, they must be covered. Offices that do not cover them are red flags - nothing clinical may be gained by imaging them.
