Today I found out details about how one of my clients has been reimbursed for thermography imaging “3 or 4 times but not the full amount - varying amounts each time, enough to make it worth filling out the application.” The highest amount she has received is $90 and lowest $50. I’ve no idea what her income is nor how that played into the amounts awarded to her.
UBCF’s Questionnaire & Application process is 2 Steps: Questionnaire lets you know if you qualify to Apply. Here is a list of the requirements (not on the list is that one must make a donation of $5 and my client says that solicitations for donations will arrive post grant receipt, so be prepared for that).
The Breast Screening Program offers free or low-cost breast screenings to women and men nationwide. UBCF covers various screening technologies such as mammography, ultrasound and thermography.
Below you can see a screenshot of the eligibility questionnaire. While it does appear they keep track of their previous clients contact information, my client says the application process has to be repeated annually to get a reimbursement.
The biggest hurdle for those being imaged by us is that 60 day window to get the imaging done in order to qualify for the reimbursement check. I can see more than a few people asking us to fudge the dates by a few days on our receipts in order to have the procedure inside their 60 day window.
Lots of different programs! Even mattresses and shopping sprees for clothing for those with a breast cancer diagnosis. Treatment assistance and more.
